Hospitals · Sales training

Train the front desk on the specific conversations that lose admissions.

Sales training for a hospital covers the real conversations staff have every day, explaining a package cost or a TPA delay, rather than generic customer service training. GullySales builds the training from the hospital's own recorded enquiries.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What sales training means

Sales training teaches a sales team a skill it does not yet have, such as handling a specific objection or running a proper site visit, usually through a structured session. GullySales runs these sessions around real objections and calls from your business rather than generic sales theory.

For hospitals

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Training uses this hospital's own calls”

A recording of a lost enquiry from last month teaches the front desk more than a standard course written for any business.

  • “The TPA desk needs training on explaining delays”

Staff who can explain a cashless hold-up calmly keep a family waiting instead of losing them to a hospital nearby.

  • “Refresher training matters more than a one-time session”

Front desk staff turn over, and the standard slips without a short refresher to keep it in place.

What we do

What we deliver for hospitals.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Training built from real recordings

Training sessions built around a recording of a lost enquiry from last month, rather than a generic course written for any business.

Result: The front desk learns from a conversation that actually happened here.

  2. TPA delay explanation training

Training on explaining a cashless hold-up calmly, so a family waits instead of leaving for a hospital nearby.

Result: A family stays through the wait instead of switching hospitals.

  3. Refresher sessions

A short refresher session, run again as front desk staff change, since the standard slips without repetition.

Result: The standard holds even as staff change.

  4. Training on the two highest-loss points

Sessions concentrated on the front desk and the TPA desk first, since these are where most admissions are actually lost.

Result: Training time goes where it affects the most enquiries.

How the result is measured

  • Skill assessment scores
  • Objection handling improvement
  • Conversion rate after training

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Situations to practise

Six desk and phone conversations a hospital team should practise, and what good looks like.

A caller asks the package price for a delivery or surgery
Say what the package includes and excludes, and by room category. Ask whether insurance applies. Offer a counsellor visit. Never state a fixed total for a case that is not yet assessed.
The insurance pre-authorisation is still pending
Tell the family what is pending, who is following it up and what they can do meanwhile. Practise honest updates and never guess at the outcome.
A call comes in at night
Ask location, condition and whether they can reach you. Give the casualty entry route. Practise a short, calm script for the person on duty.
The family compares you with a cheaper hospital
Ask what matters most: the doctor, the bed category, the location. Explain what your estimate includes. Practise without criticising the other hospital.
Discharge and the final bill
Walk through the bill line by line. Name one person to take any dispute. Practise this with a real bill, with the patient's details removed.
A referring doctor or lab calls
Note the name and the patient, ask what the doctor needs, and call back as promised. Practise treating the caller as a colleague, not a customer.

Who it is for

This is written for these hospitals.

  • Multi-speciality hospitals
  • Single-speciality hospitals, maternity, orthopaedic or eye
  • Nursing homes
  • Day-care surgery centres
  • Corporate hospital chains with several branches
  • Diagnostic-centre-led hospitals
  • Hospitals attached to medical colleges
  • Government-empanelled private hospitals

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the sales training work runs

  1. 1

    Assess current skill levels

We review the team's current strengths and gaps, by observing calls and talking to managers.

  2. 2

    Build the curriculum

Content is developed around your product, customers and sales cycle.

  3. 3

    Schedule and deliver

Sessions run on a set calendar, with practice built into each one.

  4. 4

    Check understanding

Short knowledge checks confirm what has actually stuck.

  5. 5

    Review and refresh

The curriculum is revisited periodically and refresher sessions are run for the wider team.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

  • Nanda Arthritis and Rheumatology Center

    Situation
There was no website, so a patient looking for a rheumatologist had no way to learn about the centre. Enquiries were few, and the ones that arrived came by word of mouth.
    What we did
    • A website for patients
    • Search work
    • Google Business and reviews
    • Lead capture and advertising
    Result
No numbers were recorded for this engagement. The work is described in full in the case study.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long does training take to show results?
A few weeks for reply time and tone, longer for conversion, since that also depends on capacity and pricing.
Who should be trained first?
The front desk and the TPA desk, since they handle the two points where most admissions are lost.
Can doctors be part of the training?
Ask a doctor from each department to correct the clinical answers staff give at the desk, but keep the practice itself with the front staff. Doctors tell you what must not be said, and the desk tells you what families actually ask.
Should counsellors and desk staff be trained together?
Together for the first practice, so each knows where their job stops. Counsellors handle packages, admission and longer conversations, and desk staff handle first answers and hand-offs. Then train each group on its own situations.
How soon would we see more admissions?
Fixing reply time and the referral record shows within weeks. Ranking a page for a search such as knee replacement surgeon in your town takes months.
Do we need to advertise?
Only for a department with spare capacity that needs enquiries this month. Most hospitals gain first from the reply routine and the profile, which cost nothing extra.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
